Purple Frog Data Director Awarded MBE for Services to Business, Female Entrepreneurship and Skills

Purple Frog Data is delighted to announce that its HR & InfoSec Director, Hollie Whittles MBE, has been recognised in His Majesty The King’s Honours List and awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for services to business, female entrepreneurship and skills.

The honour recognises Hollie’s long-standing commitment to supporting business growth, championing entrepreneurship, and helping shape the future skills agenda across the UK.

Twenty years ago, Hollie co-founded Purple Frog Systems Ltd alongside her husband and CEO, Alex Whittles. What began as a small Shropshire-based consultancy has grown into an award-winning global Microsoft Data & AI consultancy, supporting organisations around the world with data, analytics and AI solutions.

Alongside her leadership role within Purple Frog , Hollie has become a recognised voice in national policy and skills development. As the National Skills Policy Champion for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), she has represented the interests of small businesses at the highest levels of government, contributing to discussions on AI skills, apprenticeship standards, curriculum reform and workforce development.

Most recently, Hollie contributed to the Maple Review, helping develop recommendations designed to remove barriers to entrepreneurship and improve support for small businesses across the UK.

Within the technology sector, Hollie serves as Vice Chair of the GTIA UK & Ireland Executive Council, helping drive industry initiatives, community leadership and collaboration across the IT channel.

Commenting on the award, Hollie said:

“This honour feels deeply personal, not because of anything I’ve achieved alone, but because of every person I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. Throughout my career I’ve tried to open doors, support others and create opportunities for people to succeed. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey.”
