At Purple Frog Systems, we live and breathe technology. AI, data, and digital transformation are at the heart of what we do.

But yesterday, we did something unusual for a tech company: we switched everything off for an hour.

We joined Techtimeout Tuesday, an initiative that encourages businesses to take a break from screens and focus on digital well-being. For one hour, our team paused all digital tools and gave ourselves space to reset.

Here’s what that looked like:

  • Reading books
  • Playing instruments
  • Spending time with pets
  • Enjoying a quiet coffee
  • Getting fresh air
  • Sketching and journaling

Poster on a glass wall promoting “techtimeout Tuesday,” encouraging people to pledge an hour away from technology. The poster includes a large phone outline with handwritten notes suggesting offline activities such as “Go for a walk,” “Read my book,” “Play guitar,” “Watch the dog,” and “Having a game of pool.” A QR code with the text “scan me” is shown on the right. The bottom section mentions “The Digital Wellbeing Day” on 2nd December 2025 and the hashtag #powerofanhour.

Why does this matter? Because moments away from screens help us return with more focus, better ideas, and fewer distractions. In a world where technology moves fast, we believe healthy teams build better technology.

We’re proud to support Techtimeout and encourage other businesses to make time for digital wellbeing. Want to learn more? Visit techtimeout.co.uk.
