Shrewsbury School Takes Over the FrogPlex!

On Thursday 6th February, Shrewsbury School came to the FrogPlex!

Students from Shrewsbury School had the opportunity to visit the Purple Frog office for an immersive experience in a professional working environment. This visit aimed to introduce the students to various career paths and the dynamic nature of the tech industry.

The day was packed with insightful presentations delivered by nine dedicated members of the Purple Frog team. Hollie, Jon, Lewis, Laura, and Annabel took the lead in discussing a wide range of topics. They covered the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the benefits and opportunities of degree apprenticeships, the journey of pursuing higher education at a university, and the intricacies of marketing and data management. Additionally, they provided an overview of tech careers and delved into the basics of AI, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for the students.

One of the highlights of the day was the introduction of Purple Frog’s ‘Sentinel Skydash’ game, based off the classic Flappy bird mobile game. Used at events for brand awareness, competitions and crowd draw. The students were excited to learn about the coding process behind the game, which was developed using Raspberry Pis. This hands-on experience allowed them to see the practical applications of coding and technology in a fun and interactive way.

The visit not only provided the students with valuable insights into the working world but also inspired them to consider various career paths in technology and beyond. The Purple Frog team was delighted to share their knowledge and experiences, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm among the young visitors.
