Shropshire ‘big data’ expert, Alex Whittles, with links across the globe has been selected to speak at an international conference in Germany later this year.
Alex is one of several high-profile business owners who will address delegates at the 2019 DataGrillen conference in June.
Purple Frog specialises in developing business intelligence technology and is recognised throughout the IT sector as a leader in its field when it comes to managing and using big data.
Alex, one of only a few people in the UK to hold Microsoft’s coveted Most Valuable Professional (MVP) status, will speak at the conference about machine learning and the benefits it can bring to businesses in terms of reducing manual tasks and increasing productivity.
He said: “I’m delighted to have been asked to speak at the annual DataGrillen conference in Germany. The event attracts businesses from all over the world and speakers attending will cover a range of topics currently at the forefront of the IT and technology industry.
“We live and work in exciting times and machine learning and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a greater role in our daily lives at home and in the workplace.
“Technology is continually advancing and using platforms like Microsoft Azure, we can build AI solutions which augment human capabilities to increase speed and efficiency so that companies can achieve more. This conference will be an opportunity to share our latest knowledge and experience of AI with other thought leaders and industry experts.”
In 2018 Purple Frog celebrated its best ever year. It moved to new offices at Quantum House at Hadley Park East and recruited three new members of staff to help meet its growing demand for services.
Its new business wins included running real-time data solutions for FTSE 250 listed companies and it has plans for further growth in 2019. The team is currently working on a new global product which will launch later this year.
