Principality are one of top 10 building societies in the UK. Purple Frog are helping Principality design and implement a new greenfield data warehousing project, to provide a greater level of reporting functionality and clarity to the business users from the shop floor to the board. Confused.com are one of the UK's leading price comparison websites, providing information to its users about car insurance, home insurance, utilities and more. Confused.com are designing a business intelligence platform internally, and were keen to secure external advise on best practices, design methodologies and technical implementation. Purple Frog undertook a review of their progress so far, and documented a number of recommendations which will ensure Confused's BI strategy will meet the demands of the wider business for years to come.

Target

Target is an IT software and consultancy company, specialising in designing systems and software for the lending and insurance markets. Target were keen to enhance the data analysis capabilities that they can offer to their customers. Purple Frog performed a comprehensive data profiling and requirements gathering process, before designing a data warehouse, ETL data load and cleaning processes and a number of OLAP cubes.

 

Liberty Syndicate Management is one of the largest Lloyds of London Insurance syndicates with an underwriting capacity (in 2006) of almost £1bn. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Mutual. Purple Frog designed Liberty a new data warehouse, ETL load process and a number of OLAP cubes that has enabled them to gain significantly more leverage from their existing policy and claims management systems. This process also included a significant amount of data cleansing. This not only increased the level of confidence in the data but also paved the way for Purple Frog to re-develop a number of management reports into dynamic, on demand, web based reports to integrate tightly with a new SharePoint intranet portal.

Liberty

 

StrategicThought

Strategic Thought are a software development house that design and supply enterprise project and risk management software to multiple blue-chip customers including Nestle, British Telecom, NASA & the Ministry of Defence. Purple Frog created a new web based management reporting portal to replace their previous Crystal Reports solution. The solution provided extensive data sheets as well as metric analysis and dashboard style reports. This was designed to work seamlessly using either SQL Server or Oracle depending on their customer's requirements.

 

Aramark is a Fortune 500 company specialising in large scale contract catering. Purple Frog designed Aramark an OLAP cube and a number of SSRS reports to provide better and faster data analysis and reporting for one of their contracts in the UK.

Bally

Bally Technologies is the world's largest gaming software company, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. They design and supply software to manage casinos and track play across all slot machines. Purple Frog provided a number of Bally's worldwide departments with database and software design guidance, and designed and implemented a number of OLAP analysis cubes. These allowed Bally and their customers to leverage significantly more analysis capability from their existing data capture systems.
